1. What type of file do you need from me?

Print resolution JPG, PDF, and other file formats work well. We will evaluate the print quality of what you send, and attempt to alert you to any major issues before printing. Please see our website F.A.Q. for more detailed information.

2. Do you do design work?

We do offer a very limited design service for banners for an extra charge. This allows for adding or changing text in otherwise print-ready artwork, or building a simple text-only design from scratch.

3. How do I send you my artwork?

Within 30 seconds of placing your order online, you will receive an automated confirmation email. Simply reply to this, and attach up to 20 megabytes of your artwork files for the order.

4. What do you mean by ‘print-ready’ artwork?

Print-ready means that the digital image you send literally gets transfered onto the banner material as-is. A good way to visualize how your artwork will look is to “zoom in” using the computer program it was made in. Try to zoom in so that you can see what your artwork looks like at the same size the finished banner will be. If you need basic changes made to your artwork, you may purchase our very limited design service.

5. What’s your turn-around time?

Usually new orders ship 2 business after artwork receipt and approval. At any given moment, you can check our exact turn-around time at the top of our website home page. It is updated in real time, and shows you when we are running faster or slower than usual. Please see our website for additional details.

6. Can I see a proof before you print it?

Since we print what you supply as-is, your print-ready artwork already is your “proof”. Please review the artwork you send carefully to ensure that everything appears how you want it on the finished banner.

7. Can I pick up my order?

Orders are not available for pickup. We have a closed printing facility with no retail store front, and ship all orders in durable storage and transport tubes. If you must pick up your order, please order through one of our resellers in your area and arrange pick up through them.

8. Where are you located?

All orders are manufactured and shipped from our facility in Dallas. This is also where our customer service and corporate office is located.

9. Did you used to be in Utah?

Our company in Texas took over the BargainBanners.com website from the original Utah-based company last year. We kept most pricing and products the same, and still serve many customers in Utah every week.

Print-Ready Artwork Specifications:

Let’s say for example that you have ordered a 16 foot wide by 4 foot high banner. You would provide your artwork to the size of your order (16′x12″ = 192 inches) wide x (4′x12″= 48 inches) tall x 100 dots per inch). Ideally it’s best if we receive a rasterized & flattened file saved as a high quality (95%+) .JPG file. RGB mode artwork is fine, but please at least be aware what your artwork looks like in CMYK . For some larger banners, artwork as low as 75 or 50 DPI also works very well.

Ultimately, we are likely to be able to work with whatever file you have. For any images that are not pre-rasterized when you send them, we will most likely send a proof to verify that no font substitutions or other issues arose from the vector artwork. Rasterized high quality JPG files at 100 dpi seem to very reliably work best.

How to Send Your Artwork:

Simply click ‘reply’, and attach your image to your automatic order confirmation email. If your order confirmation email does not arrive immediately, please check your junk email folder for it. Since the email is automatically sent to you, it should arrive very quickly. Please let us know if you don’t receive your automatic order confirmation email after ordering. You can also reply to any other email we have sent you in the past and attach your artwork. Please be sure to reference the related order number in the subject line.

The customer service email address can receive attached files up to 20 MB. You can send over multiple files in separate emails if necessary. For even larger files we have found that www.yousendit.com has a great free large file transfer feature. Please always reference your order number along with your artwork.

In case you were curious, here’s a timelapse of a 3 foot wide by 12 foot long promotional banner being printed.

Once the banner has printed, it is inspected, hand trimmed, and grommeted before packing and shipping to you. Average size orders are manufactured and shipped within two business days of order and artwork receipt. Shipping, a $8.95 flat charge, gets the banner to your door between 3 and no more than 5 business days later. In Dallas and most of north Texas (where we are), banners are delivered just 1 business day later. The total turn-around time from artwork to doorstep? 5-7 business days nationally, and 3 business days in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and several other major areas within our region.

A banner just like the one in this video this costs only $71.64 and can be ordered at www.BargainBanners.com 24 hours per day / 365 days per year. Just reply to the automatic order confirmation email you receive with your artwork attached. We get these during the business day and let you know if the artwork is approved for manufacturing. Any potential issues or preference questions are quickly resolved with you and then sent to the Production Queue.

Within two business days, your banners will ship to you. The only exception is if your order is exceptionally large or complicated (e.g. you need 30, 300, or 3,000 banners for an event or national promotion). Please communicate your delivery needs to us up front, and we will keep you advised at every step of the manufacturing and fulfillment process. Large orders frequently ship in multiple cartons. All packing slips indicate package contents as well as the remaining order in other cartons. We even track all of your packages through their delivery, and notify you when it has been reported as having arrived.

Please give us a try for your next banner project today.

Private Label Banner Fulfillment: We omit our branding from any order dropshipped to a recipient other than you as the account holder, so think about selling these to your own customers. At an every day low price of $2 per square foot, our private label banner fulfillment services might be a great addition to your product offerings. You would work with the customer to create the artwork, and have us create the banners. Call customer service and request a Wholesale Welcome Kit for a printed price chart, account access (if you don’t already have a BargainBanners.com account), and a free retail display banner branded to your company.

You’ll get an instant sense of our speed and quality just from requesting the free Wholesale Welcome Kit. Contact Banner Customer Service at (214) 550-5061 to get started today.

(from a recent email to a customer)

Dear Customer,

The image you attached will work well. The size of your order was 16 feet wide by 4 feet high. However, once the image is printed the physical banner can be hung in any orientation.

Based on your artwork, we have determined that you probably intend your banner to be hung in a landscape (16′ wide x 4′ high) orientation. The only reason this makes a difference is that we add metal hanging rings (grommets) every two feet along the top and bottom edges. So in your case, the grommets will be added along what are also the top and bottom of your image.

Based on your artwork, we have also guessed that you would probably like the black to go all the way to the edges of the banner (full bleed). We use our best judgment for image orientation, bleed options, and other similar details each order to best match what our customer’s intent when ordering. You can always specify any special instructions you need during the order or afterward by email (please always specify the relevant order # in the subject line).

Does that help you out with your question? With the great artwork you provided, your banner is going to turn out very well.

You’ll receive another email from us containing a tracking number once your banners are on their way to you.

Best Regards,

Mike, Banner Customer Service

I am glad to hear that Kyle is no longer part of BargainBanners.
I know he ripped me off I paid in advance but never got my order.
He must have really screwed up to post that he is gone on your site.
I will consider you for future work.

Are you still located in the Salt Lake area?

-Customer

(response to customer)

Dear Customer,

Thank you for writing to us. We agree that it is for the best that Kyle Foote has never been a part of things here in Texas.

As our company (MetroPlex Web Design, Inc. of Texas) entered the picture last October, the old company (Spotted Printing LLC of Utah) that had been running BargainBanners.com was already out of business. The purchase was arranged through Kyle’s investor/partner, Miles Olsen. We were up and running with the website and printing with little downtime between.

It is in this way that we were able to keep the original idea of BargainBanners.com alive, online, and making banners for customers. Our company kept the pricing model while making improvements elsewhere to the business. Fortunately, we were able to recover complete order histories and a large amount of historical customer service email from the time before October 2008 along with the website itself. This allows us to offer much better service to any customer of the old company that buys from us now.

From time to time, we hear from someone upset with the business that preceded us. Quite often these are former vendors trying to track down the former owners. On great occasion we hear from customers like you who were dealt with very unfairly. These cases always blow our minds, and we are just dumbfounded that the former company ever acted in such ways.

From the website order logs, I can see that your order was originally entered on May 2nd, 2008 at about 3 pm. There’s nothing else until 27 days later, on May 29th, when the status is updated to read “no action appears to have been made — contact customer”. Two days later the log shows that an email was sent to you stating that a refund had been processed in the full amount of your original order. We do not have any financial, legal, or purchasing records for the old company.

Judging by your letter, you obviously never received this refund on your credit card statement. I’m so sorry to hear this; the old company obviously handled many things extremely poorly.

Thank you for your willingness to try us out in the future. The next time you place an order, please contact us so we can provide you with some sort of free upgrade (e.g. faster manufacturing, faster shipping option, or just silver grommets) that would be useful to you in that scenario.

Standard orders are manufactured and shipped within 2 business days. The default shipping option available in our site, UPS Ground, arrives between 3 and no more than 5 days later nationwide. If an earlier delivery date is needed, the shipping on an existing order can be upgraded by contacting customer service. Customers that are here in north Texas with us get a perk; the ground shipping option is delivered in only 1 business day after shipping. That’s a 5-7 business day artwork-to-doorstep turnaround nationwide, and 3 business days for customers in north Texas. The shipping charge is a flat $8.95 for the standard Ground Shipping regardless of order size. Utah customers get a perk here too; they no longer pay sales tax on their purchases like they did before October 2008.

Our company also created and maintains a local Utah phone number for customers. Just dial (801) 657-5044 to be connected directly to Banner Customer Service.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for writing, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Mike, Banner Customer Service
